Before You Write Anything - 5 Tips That really help Create the Best Newsletters

Things you can do Before You Write Anything

The first thing is to be fully rested. Creativity uses up a lot of energy with your brain for some reason. After show creativity for more than four hours, you commence to become tired so you start to crave a left brain activity like washing the pots or something. If you aren't fully rested once you sit down to write, three things will happen.

Bill Cosby is a NICE GUY!
1. Your work is going to be mediocre.

2. You'll start to think that you're not as good as you are. This may place you onto a downward spiral of doubt. If you think you are experiencing this downward spiral then take a day or two off from writing and have some rest.

3. You will get stressed out because of writer's block. When your mind is tired and you also ask it to produce something, it will simply say, "Bog off, I'm still tired. Leave me alone." So be sure you have a good nights sleep and ensure you take a regular break from writing.

Second is to cut off the telephone and put up a 'do not disturb sign'. When you're writing creatively then one interrupts you, it's extremely difficult to get back what it really was you were getting access to in your work. You don't wish any distractions. You desire peace and quiet for at least 2 hours in one sitting, so make an effort to arrange this time with someone else who lives along with you.

The third thing is usually to count your blessings. An outstanding technique this. I was astonished by the effect this had in my ability. All you do is start thinking about all the good things that you experienced. Forget the bad things. People have had bad experiences of some sort or other, but also everyone has a great deal of nice experiences too. Call all of these experiences up in your mind, whether they are from the current or from the past regardless of, just recall them. Think to yourself how good things are actually. Choose to feel good about yourself.

Now, sometimes this method is difficult. Sometimes you will find experiences that need to be dealt with. There may be a quarrel as part of your family that's troubling you or something. Something like this will be quite difficult to not take into consideration. All I can suggest is that you simply talk with a friend about any unpleasant situations and try and solve the problem immediately.

Second to last is eat sparingly. Digesting food requires energy. The harder we eat the more energy must digest it. When we overeat then the digestive tract needs more energy than has been assigned to it and therefore takes it by you by force and allows you to tired. As you know, you are unable to churn out good work when you find yourself tired. It's almost impossible.

So...a small bowl of cereal having a tiny bit of sugar is perhaps all you should put in the human body before writing. Toast is okay but watch the butter or marg. Unhealthy fats require more energy to collapse and take longer to get into the system. You want complex carbohydrates which are found in cereals. These provide you with a constant energy for a few hours. The tiny little bit of sugar compensates for that energy used to digest the meal.

Lastly, go for a walk across the block. Light exercise and clean air stimulate the brain DRAMATICALLY! Please take a pen and some paper along because you're guaranteed to start having ideas. What you're doing is placing the brain in its favourite environment. There's plenty of oxygen, plenty of blood being pumped into it and you're engaged in a left brain activity which relaxes mental performance. Place anything in their favourite environment and it'll function at its peak. So...go for an early morning stroll around the block, round the block or simply to the shops for a pint of milk. It'll can you the world of good, basically...
